Hee Hee I think I'm real fast on this. I'm really excited with this DT call as it's my dream to join a DT.

I guess alot of ya do not know me yet. My name is Geraldine. I only started to scrap actively early this year and I am totally obsess and love with scrapbooking! Scrapbooking is definately 1 of my most fav and best distressing method.

Beside scrapbooking, I'm heavily involve with voluntary work at MINDS. We had weekly activities on saturday at the Woodlands Garden School. Sometimes I conduct classes for the IDs on social behavior, sing along and art and craft. This is little love and time I can spare for the IDs at the time being. If I get the chance, I wish to teach the special education full time in the future.. and *whisper...planning is in progress.. don't tell my boss.. *wink

Ok... hmmm... am I too long winded? Other than this... I am single, not married, no kids, so I scrap around me, myself, my BF- Mark, my doggie- Ginger and of course my beloved Mum, grandmum, grandpa, uncles and aunties... friends, collgs...etc, etc

Am getting ready to scrap for the DT call! Wish me luck ya

Pls view my blog at http://geraldineang.blogspot.com/
*Luckily I did a major revamp to it last night. Hope it's enjoyable!

Luv, Geraldine

Hi! I am Avina. I am also very excited about the DT call. This is my first time applying for a SB shop DT! Hopefully I have what it takes!

In the beginning, I was a card maker, with a large part of my "craft" being stamping and embossing. I also do what is known technically as paper engineering - pop up cards, interactive cards etc. I started scrapbooking about 3 years ago and haven't looked back since.

Apart from scrapbooking, I do almost any form of craft from making my own buttons, sewing, cross stitching, crocheting, knitting etc etc etc. Haha... But scrapbooking is my main hobby. Now the other hobbies "support" scrapbooking and I try to include some parts of them into the LOs I do.

Photography comes hand in hand with scrapbooking and I have been learning to take photos especially after the kid was born! You can see the improvement in my LOs through time! LOL

What I loved about scrapbooking initially was the "ART" part of it. But now more and more with my kid, I have learnt to appreciate the journalling part of it. It allows me to have a platform to remember things that happen especially since life nowadays is so fast paced and we don't stop to think much about the everyday. I love the fact that scrapbooking is a platform for me to indulge in my other craft hobbies in "miniature" forms.

Favorite brands? That's really difficult! I must say that fave brands have evolved with time as my LO style has changed. When I started, VINTAGE was ME!! Now, I go for brighter colors and am willing to experiment with other styles. Current faves are: Cosmo Cricket, Webster Pages, Hambly, Chatterbox AND Thickers (a perennial)

I tend to do more LOs nowadays and post those as there is more interest in LOs although, I do many cards on an ad hoc basis. So I don't mind either!

I have a blog: Crafting in a Crazy World. (Have been having problems with photo uploads so haven't posted in a while until today!)

Hi, I am Dorcas. Applying for DT calls haven been my cup of tea as I don believe that my works are good enough. But my hubby was more excited then me when I mentioned to him that MWL is having a DT Call, and even place a bet on me that if I ever get into this DT, he will sponsor me whatever die cuts that I have been eyeing on. Well, that's a push for me to go ahead for applying this call. I needed the push or else I will just be reading the T&Cs and ponder whether should I or should I not till the dateline is over. lol.

Anyway, back to me... I am a SAHM with 2 crazy daughters aged 3 and 5 months. I have been scrapping since the late 2000 till now, but really and seriously drowning myself and get more aware about those "acid free" scrapbooking only somewhere in the 2003/4 when MWL is still at Liang Court going to move to the previous unit at PS.

Beside scrapbooking, I used to place fashion designing, accessories making and painting (oil painting) as my first love since young, but ever since I got pregnant with my #1, all these are place out of my list. I tried to make a dress from stretch for my #1 as her first year birthday dress, but by the time I managed to get it done, she is too big for the dress. oh well!

Favourite brands ??? I dont really have a favourite brand. I kinda have more papers from Jenni Bowlin, October Afternoon & Sassafrass piling up at my storage area on top of the other brands. But recently, I am loving the new Basic Grey line and cant get enough of them.

I am more of a layout person due to the time constraint. But I love doing mini albums, frames, cards and party favours for family and friends during their birthdays or occassions like CNY, Xmas etc.

Am I too "talking" too much here? I think I better stop.

Hi! My name's Yin Wen and have always been wanting to be part of a design team, so here i am!

I'm a full time working mom, and had started scrapbooking only after the birth of my little guy who's 2 now, so my hobby is as old as he is, and i can't imagine this journey which has taken me so far in discovering of my passion for this creative hobby, and how much it has grown (in terms of creative style to my scrap supplies), that my best pal just told me "why do you still need to shop for scrap stuff, when at home you have your own mini shop".

I love the fact that whether be it scrapping for my loved ones or friends, finding my own style through my very own journey with this hobby, scrapping has become a part of my everyday life and i'm glad that i chose scrapping to document my son's life journey from the beginning, and definitely one i see lasting my whole life. I don't let the fact that because I have a little boy to be limited in the way & style i scrap, and for sure if you see my layouts for Kaylen, it's totally not your typical "boy style" sort of LO. I love it this way, and isn't this what scrapping is? To scrap base on what the photo makes me feel, and that's how i approach scrapbooking.

Besides scrapping, i use to cross stitch and work on paper tole, but these 2 areas has since given way to scrapbooking which is mainly what i do more of now. I work mostly now on 12x12 layouts, and from now and then mini albums & altered frames. I love working with October Afternoon (aka hoarder of anything OA), and definitely welcoming anything from Cosmo Cricket, Sassafrass & Making Memories.

That's about it for me. I have a blog at: www.noteworthy-yin.blogspot.com

Thanks!

Cool Ahoy There!

Hi, I am Jacelyn Darelam Pangco, you can call me Darelam... I am quite new in this forum but definitely not new with made with love, I am a frequent shopper,or a shopaholic as you might say and I do try to limit my shopping to 2x a month (droooling!) I discovered the store in 2007 while looking for some materials for a handmade gift and my baby shower invitation cards, from then and on I became a stalker.... haha.

I like to scrap and make some stuff out of nothing, yup, i collect "used stuff" from friends, from old stores, from my mom's treasure trove... and lately i started to learn how to sketch and play with water colours, love scrapping and journaling cos I cant draw... I only have the designs and colours in my mind, most of the time I write the ideas down before I do a page.

I am not only into scrapbooking, i love creating handmade keep sakes, in I made my own wedding invitation cards and am now designing for a friend's wedding.

I love everything about art... may it be nouveau, contemporary, vintage art! I collect items, ephemeras, and love styles like grecian, faerie, fantasy themes, maybe because I am a hopeless romantic heee....
I love working on projects from there i could brainstorm my own lay outs, i like to try new things but always have the heart for the natural and everyday beauty.

I am just trying my luck with this DT call, I am fascinated with the techniques and designs the current DT members of MWL. And you're all like a family to each other... and I wanna learn more and probably share some of what I know. Also, i love to hang out at the store! I wont loiter i promise... I will help dust the shelves and aim to create wonderful pages and lovely things.

So I am crossing all my fingers and toes. Thanks for the chance.
By the way, I do have a blog, but not up to date, will try and link in the forum soon.

Sorry for the long intro. I talk too much on paper.

Much love,
Darelam

Thank you ladies for the intros. As Leena said it is lovely to get a sense of who you are !

Scrapping culture has changed so much : it is perfectly acceptable to for a scrapper to post their intentions of wanting to be on a DT, nothing to be shy or embarrassed about. This is exactly what you will see in a US kit club or online store, MWL is not doing anything unusual and I am so glad that Singapore based scrappers are now confident and open enough to try.

Good luck !!

Hi, my name is June and I am a Stay-at-home mum with 2 boys aged 6 yrs and 19 months. I first learnt about the craft called scrapbooking when several mummies started showing their beautiful creations on a forum that I frequent. My first steps into scrapbooking was through digital scrapbooking. In 2006 I received an album kit as a Christmas present and from then on, I was hooked on scrapbooking.

I have always loved handmade crafts but I wasn't a great art student in school. However the beautiful papers and embellishments that are now available have made it easy to have a pretty projects done. Scrapping has open my eyes and allowed me to explore and experiment with art. Scrapping is my passion and my way of relaxing after a long way looking after the kids.

I love scrapping about by family and being able to record all those precious memories of my boys growing up and their little antics. I don't think I have a fixed style but I love layering and textures and adding splashes of colours on my pages.

Aside from scrapbooking and paper crafts, I am also busy playing with my sewing machine and exploring the world of photography.

My blog is over at: http://bbhome-pages.livejournal.com/

Cheers,
June
